Content Moderation Policies
- Volunteers from ASDSO's Dam Design and Construction Committee moderate and maintain the Dam Safety Toolbox website. All suggested content edits and additions, regardless of how large or small, must be reviewed and accepted by a Website Editor before they appear to the public on the website.
- Responsibilities of Website Editors include monitoring and updating the site, moderating and editing suggested edits for consistency in style and formatting, and coordinating with Subject Matter Experts as needed. Minor edits (e.g., updates to hyperlinks, editorial revisions, etc.) can be moderated and approved for publication by Website Editors.
- Subject Matter Experts are responsible for reviewing large content edits and additions of technical content to ensure that they meet the current State-of-the-Practice. Once approval from a Subject Matter Expert is obtained, Website Editors are responsible for seeing that they edits are published on the site as approved by the Subject Matter Expert.
- ASDSO reserves the right to suspend edit suggestion privileges of users that purposely and continually suggest edits that are inaccurate, biased, or promote products and/or services.
- ASDSO reserves the right to modify the Moderation Policies and Guidelines as needed. ASDSO also reserves the right to restrict any users from contributing to the website if they violate the policies outlined herein.
