Contributors have the ability to upload files to the Dam Safety Toolbox website. This functionality is accessed by clicking on the dropdown in the toolbar that looks like a gear and selecting "Upload File". Supported file types include: PNG, GIF, JPG, JPEG, WEBP, and PDF. The maximum supported file size is 50 MB. File uploads will typically consist of images to support Topic Pages, Best Practices Resources Pages, and Example Pages as well as PDFs of Best Practices Resources.

Upon upload, files are assigned a name by the contributor. All files should be given names that are explicit and aid in the identification of the Topic Page or reference that they are associated with. The use of generic names (e.g., photo1.jpg, photo2.jpg) is not allowed and may result in problematic overwriting of other files on the website if multiple contributors take this approach.

Regardless of file type, it is vital that all files that are uploaded and shared on the site comply with the Media and Copyright Policies and Guidelines established by ASDSO.
