Content Moderation Policies

  1. Volunteers from ASDSO's Dam Design and Construction Committee moderate and maintain the Dam Safety Toolbox website. All suggested content edits and additions, regardless of how large or small, must be reviewed and accepted by a Moderator before they appear to the public on the website.

  2. Subject Matter Experts are responsible for reviewing large content edits and additions of technical content to ensure that they meet the current State-of-the-Practice. Once approval from a Subject Matter Expert is obtained, Website Editors and Moderators are then responsible for the maintenance of the page; keeping it up to date, and reviewing any proposed edits to the page.

  3. Moderators and Website Editors will consult with a Subject Matter Expert for further clarification of an edit before publication, if needed.

  4. ASDSO reserves the right to suspend edit suggestion privileges of users that purposely and continually suggest edits that are inaccurate, unbiased, or promote products and/or services after having been previously warned.
