Message: An upstream gate allows for the conduit to be inspected without draining the reservoir.
This Montana Dam has a downstream slide gate but does not have an upstream gate. The reservoir needs to be completely drained in order to complete an outlet inspection.

Because this dam does not have an upstream gate, the reservoir needed to be drained to access the outlet conduit.

Beginning the inspection.

The inspection was completed using a CCTV Camera on a Pipe-Crawler. See the Investigation page for more information.

The inspection revealed debris in the conduit. A trashrack would help mitigate debris in the conduit.

Location of downstream slide gate. An additional 20 feet of HDPE is downstream of this structure.
