Message: Dual chamber with an internal weir system with a slide gate has many advantages: it provides reservoir level control, ability to make releases, and provides protection from ice. There is a practical limit where construction of the internal divider is not feasible.

An inclined slide gate that had experienced years of trouble was replaced with a center control dual chamber system with a gate.
