This manual provides guidance for the design of Hydraulic Steel Structures (HSS) by Load and Resistance Factor Design (LRFD). This includes design of new structures, replacement, rehabilitation, and repair. Mechanical and electrical design guidance are addressed in EM 1110-2-2610. Guideline commentary is provided in Appendix B. This manual supersedes ETL 1110-2-584 (USACE, 2014) and EM 1110-2-2702 (USACE, 2000).
