Message: Seepage and erosion along conduit must be taken seriously.

It is very common for dams to have poor compaction around the conduit. Water can flow along the conduit when fractures form in regions of poorly-compacted, low-density fill material. Fractures lead to internal erosion and the development of a void along the conduit.
