Message: Deteriorated conduits must be taken seriously.

In 2018, a large sinkhole was discovered in the back slope of Reser Dam. The outlet pipe is a deteriorated, corrugated metal pipe with holes. It is likely the holes in the outlet pipe are the source of the seepage that caused the sinkhole.
