ASDSO's Dam Safety Toolbox

The mission of the Association of State Dam Safety Officials (ASDSO) is to improve the condition and safety of dams and lower the risk of dam failures through education, support for state dam safety programs, and fostering a unified dam safety community. The ASDSO Dam Safety Toolbox website supports that mission by providing a comprehensive outline of dam safety topics and guidelines as well as facilitating the sharing of knowledge and tools among dam safety professionals. The website serves as a repository of current guidelines and recommendations related to dam safety.

The website was created and released in 2022 under contract with Gannett Fleming, Inc. using MediaWiki software. Website content is written collaboratively by volunteers and peer reviewed prior to publication by ASDSO’s Dam Design and Construction Committee. Learn more about how you can help in this effort on the Contribute page.
