Message: The invert of a pipe is difficult to see and subject to increased corrosion.
This bituminous coated CMP showed only moderate deterioration in conduit. However, the connections between sections of the pipe and between the pipe and the tower were severely corroded. In addition, the coating at the invert of the pipe was gone and corrosion was beginning. Removal and replacement was needed.
